i think we'd be hard pressed to find a day where they *weren't* smoking something heehee
well that's true. it's a real treat to hear the anthologies, though. to hear them crack up in the studio or to fuck something up is quite a thing. one of my favorites is 'and your bird can sing'. they laugh their asses off in that one. plus, you get to hear paul on the lead, which strangely enough, i preferred to johns version.

anthology 3. i think it's take 1 or something. it's hysterical to listen to. they're laughing and being weird. they were smoking something that day.
I actually never heard the official version.
« One man's glory is another man's hell.
You’re on the outside, never bound by such a spell.
Together in the darkness, alone in the light.
I took it upon me to be yours, Timmy,
I’ll lead your angels and demons at play tonight......»
i heard the take before i heard the studio version. its an odd song. i can't help but love the anthology version. you KNOW my name!!
Is it very different from the end result?

i can't say for sure. i've never played them back to back. i think there are some differences, but the lyrics are pretty much the same as the title. not much to it. but it is catchy. : )

Hahahaha, of course the lyric's are the same.:D:p Well that is it would have been a surprise had they been different. I love the way they show what they can do here with just one line, as they do in she's so heavy and Why don't we do it in the road.

1- Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight
2- You Never Give Me Your Money
3- I've Just Seen a Face
4- The End
5- Let it Be
But really, how can you make a list of just 5? I can think of at least 30 other songs that could easily be interchangeable with those ones. Man, what a great band they were.
"A toast....to Canadian born Neil Young!!!" - Eddie Vedder
Well this is coming from a mild beatles fan. I like them. I respect their part in music history but for a "rock" band I have never had them as a favorite.
With that said, I still enjoy their music so....
1. While My guitar gently weeps
2. Eleanor Rigby
3. Drive My Car
4. Let it Be
5. Yesterday

“Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you’ve got about a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies — ‘God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.’” - Kurt Vonnegut
