Just came across this article that came out today and thought people here would be interested. Looks like great news :)

"It's fair to say that the gene variants associated with Crohn's disease are an enormous breakthrough," and they offer the best "reasonable hope" in decades that the disease may be prevented or cured, he said.

That is very awesome. My Dad has Crohn's and both my parents have Celiac Disease, so this is great to hear (not to mention I am at a high risk as well). Thanks for sharing!

This is great news for someone with Crohn's Disease (myself)... Lets all hope they can find a cure... seriously though, I would be brought to a fit of tears if I could rid myself of this awful disease.

I wonder if this would help the canine version of Crohn's too which my dog has.

I imagine it would probably help with that too. I had no idea dogs could get Chron's disease also.
