Not sure if anyone is doing the ESPN Streak for the Cash but there is a guy on the monthly leader board called Pearl Jam Fan. If you are out there, I just wanna wish you good luck. Hope you win the 2500! If you all have never heard of this game you should check it out. It's a lot of fun if you are a sports fan!

    That's me! :)

I currently have 36 wins and the monthly leader has 38. But, I have Boston College right now and she/he has Wake Forest...so after that game is done with I'll either be down 3 or within 1 game of the lead.

There's also a race for 25 straight wins for 1 MILLION dollars, and there are two tied right now at 23 straight. One guy has BC and one has Wake, so whatever happens, somebody is going to be within a win of the million within the next two hours or so.

The game is really addictive, and it has definitely led me to watching/researching sports I would have never paid attention to before (rugby, European soccer, women's golf, etc.).

    Anyway, thanks for the well-wishes!

Pretty simple concept. Each day espn posts a few match-ups, and you have to pick which one you think will win.

The match-ups can be simple (my last pick was Oregon St. over Arizona) or pretty tricky (I remember one last week that was number of Allen Iverson assists vs. Celtics margin of victory).

It's a fun game if you are a lover of sports. After a perfect 4-0 day today, I currently sit atop the monthly leaderboard, although one guy tied with me picked Oklahoma, so he'll be back at #1 once that game is over.

PS - Thanks again everybody for the well wishes!

    That is awesome!

I got hooked on the ESPN fantasy football this year, and have wondered how involved the Streak was. Maybe i'll give it a shot just for fun.

    Good Luck!!

    I made an account.

How did you get 4 wins in one day if you can only pick one game at a time???

As soon as your picked game ends, you can pick another. So, yesterday there were games at 9:30, 12:00, 3:30, and 7:00. Since each game concluded before another started, I had no problem squeezing in all four.

  • Just an update: After successfully picking a soccer match today, I am now tied for the lead with just a few days left in the month: http://streak.espn.go.com/winLeaders

Now I have to choose between Manchester United (win) vs. Villareal (to win or draw) in European soccer. I don't know shit about Euro soccer. Anybody with knowledge of the sport have advice for me?

    I did.

I hope you're right. Everyone else I'm tied with (and everyone within a game behind me) went for Villareal. This could put me on top all by myself -- or hurt my chances significantly.

    Huge game for me!
