If he should do anything, he should re-record the 1st Audioslave. His voice is just shot on that one, and it has some really great songs on it. He could do a better job now, and I would really appreciate it. Some of you would say it would be a better use of his ability than his new album.

    Its so strange on that record. He sounds fucking horrible on songs like "Cochise", but then take "Show Me How To Live" and he nails it.

    But to me he sounds worse on "Drown Me Slowly" from Out of Exile than anything on the s/t

    I'm going to have to disagree and say that he sounds best on their debut album than any other Audioslave album.

    I actually like the raspy voice on Cochise. He sang it in a normal voice when I saw him a few weeks ago and I didn't think it was quite as good.

    But as an above poster said, he nailed Show Me How to Live. He sounds great on that one.

    Cornell ripped that 1st Audioslave album. Its a classic. Voice sounds amazing as always. If ya dont like Cornells voice. Listen to Arcade fire. Then you'll appreciate how great Cornell is.

    +1 but I think that may have more to do with the heavy compression and effects used on his vocals more than anything else. On Out Of Exile his voice was very raw.
