do you guys like them?

i just picked up their new album and it's poppy as shit. and i mean that in a good way. certainly one of the best albums of the year in my opinion

    I love "Use It," great song...but I haven't heard anything else.

    i like them alot. bought the new album the day it came out. i will say that they are extra super poppy and that may not fly with harder rock fans. they're not the kind of band i can repeatedly listen to.

    definite talent in their songs though

    I just got into them this year. Twin Cinema is one of my favorite albums from this year. I saw them in concert in St. Louis and they were excellent.

    the new album is great and I'm waiting for my record store to get the other two in becasue these guys are what's right about Canadian music right now.

    i've got to give props to the drummer on 'twin cinema'. he adds a lot to the songs--creative and talented yet doesn't over-play

    Great stuff. I love Twin Cinema, one of my top 3 of the year for sure. They are extremely poppy, but for some reason it works for me. I like their changing vocalists(AC Newman and Neko Case are the main ones), really keeps things fresh througout the whole album. I am trying to hunt down "Electric Version"(their second album), probably just have to order it online somewhere. If you are a fan, definitely go back and get "Mass Romantic", it is a very quality album.

    AC Newman's The Slow Wonder is pretty damn good as well.

    I like it as well. Not as much as teh New Pornographers though. The changing vocalists really keep NP fresh to me, but AC Newman's solo is really solid.

    Neko Case, sings on a lot of NP stuff, has a solo album coming out next year. Also the keyboardist(don't know his name) from NP is in a band called Immaculate Machine who put out an album this year. It is more poppy than NP IMO, I don't think it is all that great, but I know a lot of people who love it, so might be worth checking out.
