A Boston Transportation Question

Hello Boston locals:

I am coming down for the Boston shows, and had a transportation question. We are staying downtown Boston, and are wondering if there is any sort of public transportation that will take us from downtown to the Tweeter Center? Since we are flying in, we would really like to avoid renting a car for the sake of driving to Mansfield. Can anyone help, or provide suggestions?

Thanks,
C

as far as i know there isn't any public transportation since Boston and Mansfield are separated by about 25 miles. If your staying in Boston your probably going to have to rent a car.

EDIT: just found this link http://www-tech.mit.edu/V123/N52/52tweeter.52a.html check it out, it might be an option

You might want to check into that some more as it looks outdated not sure the commuter rail runs that late anymore back to boston.
