The new album from Sufjan, sort of. It is outtakes from "Illinois", including 3 alt-versions of "Chicago" among other things. I have the album, but haven't lsitened to it yet, the song lengths on the back are hopeful, nothing under a minute so no annoying interludes or anything that were seen on "Illinois." Also only one song title gets above 10 words long, so that is a good sign.

I am expecting it it be a mix of good and not-so-good, and I will probably wonder why he didn't just put the best 20 songs on one album instead of releasing 40+ songs.

Anyone else pick this up? thoughts?

I'll bump this because I just listened to it, and it's beautiful. I can see where some just wouldn't fit in with the original Illinois tracklist. But damn, the "Adult Contemporary" version of Chicago is beautiful.

I like it, I prefer Illinois, but for a 20 song "outtake" album, it is pretty darn quality.
