my brother is a huge fan, and through him have grown to liking them a lot. there's no other true punk band that kicks my ass like them.

anyone with me?

    Aside from The Ramones the old punk bands do very little for me. When you read current articles on them now they are 45, fat and bitter that they never became Green Day. They also spew forth what is and isn't punk. Kind of sad if you ask me.

    Great band, got 3 of their albums, very politically charged lyrics. I think Jello Biafra rubbed a lot of peoples noses up the wrong way....

    Depends. Jello really defined the DK's for me. I wouldn't say the band touring with that name now is the Dead Kennedys.

    my guess is no punk bands from the 70's wish they were Green Day since they aren't really punk. punk bands didn't want to be popular, they just wanted to play kick ass shows and say whatever they wanted to say.

    the fat-bald thing can go for anyone in their late 40's and up. that has nothing to do with being in a punk band 30 years ago.
