  • definitely one of those lists that chagnes by the day.....

    right now through it's:

    1. senor
    2. don't think twice, it's alright
    3. tangled up in blue
    4. girl from the north country
    5. subterranean homesick blues

three songs which were really difficult to cut from my list of 5:

    1. lay lady lay
    2. most of the time
    3. i shall be released

two songs that he performs that i'm not so sure he wrote, but love his versions:

    1. the boxer (which i think is a simon and garfunkel song originally)
    2. man of constant sorrow (possibly his song, possibly the stanley brothers)

tough to narrow down five songs when he's written about 8 million of them.

    According to itunes it is:

Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest
    Not Dark Yet
    I Shall Be Released
    Cold Iron Bounds
    Queen Jane Approximately
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

  • when somebody has released 32 studio albums, it becomes very difficult to narrow everything down to five songs.

i'll give it a shot anyway, even though i'm sure my thought process will change entirely at some point within the next five minutes:

    1) queen jane approximately
    2) sad-eyed lady of the lowlands
    3) don't think twice, it's all right
    4) just like a woman
    5) shooting star
  • the times they are a-changin
    blind willie mctell
    like a rolling stone
    a hard rain's a-gonna fall
    my back pages

damn that is one difficult task.... i guess that's my top 5 as of this second.
  • this is virtually impossible, but i'll take a stab at it

    1. stuck inside of mobile with the memphis blues again
    2. ballad of a thin man
    3. don't think twice its all right
    4. all i really want to do
    5. with god on our side
Cheat the odds that made you
Brave to try to gamble at times

I'd have a hard time picking a Top 50, much less a top 5, but here's the first 5 to pop into my head ...

    1. Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands
    2. Visions of Johanna
    3. Chimes of Freedom
    4. Idiot Wind
    5. It's All Over Now, Baby Blue

    1) Things have Changed
    2) Idiot Wind
    3) Lovesick
    4) Desolation Row
    5) Positively 4th Street

    this changes almost daily.

I'm a huge fan of "Things have Changed", though. One of the greatest songs ever. Totally underrated. same deal for "Lovesick", and much of Time Out of Mind. At the end of the day, I think it's my favorite Dylan record.

Obviously me. I listen to their stuff, but I don't read liner notes or anything, so I wasn't sure who the original writer was.

Nice name by the way! (<--I'm being serious, even though it could come across as sarcastic!)

It changes constantly, but right now:

    Mr Tambourine Man
It's All Over Now, Baby Blue
    Knockin' On Heaven's Door
    Tangled Up In Blue
    Stuck Inside ...
    THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!
