My band are supporting him on one of his dates on his upcoming irish tour. His music on his myspace page is cool but is he any big over there? I mean obviously he's not massive but how well known if at all is he in the states?

Not very well known, no. But he is very good, I saw him open for Lucinda Williams, and was really impressed.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

He used to be a touring member of the Jayhawks - not sure if he was ever an "official" member. I wouldn't say he is well known, but his name will ring a bell with Jayhawks fans.

Well done getting the gig though!

Are you thinking of Tim O'Reagan? I didn't know that Tim Easton had toured with the Jayhawks.

Good call! I actually was thinking of Tim O'Reagan originally - but according to his bio, Tim Easton toured with them too:
