The reason I was there, however, was The Mighty Rollins Band. The (almost) original lineup getting together again to blow the minds of unsuspecting concert-goers. I don't have a set list (although I'm sure you can find one), but they did a great job of mixing it up between the first three major released albums (End of Silence, Weight, Come in And Burn...). I'l admit I was looking forward to seeing Hank front the Mother Superior lineup, but as soon as I saw Melvin Gibbs, Sim Cain, and Chris Haskett take the stage I knew I was in for a treat. Rollins is looking his age but not acting it; the guy hasn't lost a step. From the start of their almost exactly hour long set, he was "on". One of the surprises for me was that they actualy played "Liar", showing that even at his most intense, Rollins still has a great sense of humor about him. Over all the highlight for me was when the fell into "Vol. 4" from the album Weight. Heavy doesn't begin to say it. Any how, for any of you hoping to get a review of "x" I didn't stick around to see them, leaving early so that I wouldn't make it a late night. My plan kind of backfired because I didn't make it home 'til 5 anyhow... NY can be that way.

Nice pics kiddo....thanks!
What's up w that guy in the Body Count shirt!
The X show last night was typical of what they have played since Billy Zoom returned in 1998. No material is performed from any album after Ain't Love Grand.
They opened up with Your Phones off the Hook But Your Not.
I called 3 of the 4 songs in the encore.
They did Hungry Wolf (my fave), Once over Twice, Blue Spark and Soul Kitchen in the encore.
Riverboat Gamblers joined them for the set closer but I can't recall what that was...
Henry was great as expected. About a third of the crowd left after his set.
