And any time you feel the pain, hey, Jude, refrain

Don't carry the world upon your shoulders

Well don't you know that its a fool who plays it cool

By making his world a little colder
You've had a hard time? I've been here five years, they only hung me the right way up yesterday.

I'm pulling my questions from my shelf
    I'm asking forgiveness
I'm asking about it by myself
And I want you to know this
And I want you to know this

You're rifling through a bunch of toys
That were handed down to me
Just take all the ones you want and then
Give the rest to my family

I'm going back to school today
    But I'm dropping myself off
I'm throwing the childhood scenes away
    I'm through ripping myself off
    I'm done ripping myself off

Well I'm child and man and child again
    The toy broken boy soldier

I'm child and man and child again
    The boy never gets older
    The boy never gets older
    The boy never gets older
    The boy never gets older
    The boy never gets older
    Never gets older

    The boy broken toy soldier
    The boy
    The boy...

    Woo random lyrics.

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When i think of love as something new
Though i know i'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know i'll often stop and think about them
In my life i love you more

    :o

You make me weep and wanna die, just when you said we'd try
    Lovin', touchin', squeezin' each other
When I'm alone, all by myself, your out with someone else
    Lovin', touchin', squeezin' each other

You're tearing me apart, every every day
You're tearing me apart, oh what can I say
    You're tearing me apart

It won't be long yet, 'til you're alone
When your lover, oh he hasn't come home
[these lyrics are found on http://www.songlyrics.com]
'Cos he's lovin', ooh he's touchin', he's squeezin' another

He's tearin' you apart, oh every every day
He's tearin' you apart, oh girl what can you say
'Cos he's lovin', touchin' another, now it's your turn, girl, to cry

Na na na na na na, na na na na na, na na na na na na, na na na na na...
    (repeats)
So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me

I have been listening to Rubber Soul all week. And with the anniversary of Sgt Peppers, it has been a good Beatles week.
Hey Jude is always a good upper for me. :)
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

Christ you know it ain't easy,

You know how hard it can be.

    The way things are going...

    They're gonna crucify me.

The first Beatles song that I really liked............back in the junior high days when I was too cool to listen to any music that was around before Nirvana.

I detest that song with my entire soul.

worst beatles song by a mile in my opinion.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

its soooo cool to dislike The Beatles it would seem.... i'm glad i'm uncool
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Doubtful, nearly everybody I know likes the Beatles, save a few tunes, very little of their stuff does anything for me.

you missed my point. I LIKE the beatles but I absolutely despise Hey Jude.

I like Hey Jude a lot but I think the outro goes on way too long. 3 min of verses and 4 min of chanting the same thing over and over? cut the na, na, na chorus down to 2 min or so.

I feel the same way about I Want You (She's So Heavy) from Abbey Road. great song with a wonderful outro that contains probably my all-time favorite Lennon riff and the usual great bass line from Paul....but it goes on forever and never changes. it's the same thing over and over. minor grievance
