I'm a big Crowes fan. Southern Harmony is fucking brilliant. To concur with someone else, that album does conatin some of the best guitar and bass tones ever.

By Your Side was kind of weak, compared to what they can do. . . even though "Horse Head" is a fucking monster of a song.

But how can a Crowes fan not dig on Lions? I love that album! "Midnight from the Inside Out," "Soul Singing," "Greasy Grass River." All awesome songs.

Good, solid rock band...I like these guys a lot. I don't get into their studio stuff that much just because I think they translate better as a live band much like Grateful Dead. I highly recommend 2005-12-31 MSG....a real nice Wiser Time on that one.

  • I agree that Southern Harmony is brilliant. It's one of my all time faves. I saw them live a few times in the 90's and they were flawless. They don't disappoint.

  • I love the Black Crowes....they rock!!!!!!!

I don't care if I already posted in this thread!!!

I just had Shake Your Money Maker rockin' in the car, and By Your Side yesterday!!!

The Black Crowes are probably one of the best "Rock and Roll" bands around today!!!

I was lucky enough to be right against the bar in front of Rich in Toronto :D:D

I love them man, one of my favourites for sure!!!

have seem them a cupple times incl last summer with petty.. what can you say about this gospel sounding rock band?

Excellence! Black Crowes's rock and soul!!
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

Acoustic Tour, that would be cool to catch...
  • I hope Ed is still in the band. 05 tour was smoking especially once Steve Gorman came back. Hopefully the Robinson brothers learn from that and keep Ed in the band. The accoustic tour sounds pretty sweet. Hopefully the whole band will enter the studio and make a new album.

Three Snakes is OK, but 'OK' is still downhill from amazing albums such as Shake Your Money Maker, Southern Harmony, and Amorica. I want an album like those three.

Any album with "How Much For Your Wings" is an amazing album.

By your side is my favorite, followed by Southern Harmony.

Seen em twice. Once in 01 on their farewell tour of sorts and once last summer with Petty. Needless to say they shoulda closed the show.

Best to take a pleasant trip over to Crowes message board - someone over there might hook you up if you ask nicely enough.

bt.etree.org should still have it with a good number of seeders as well if you want to torrent it....I think I got that show at something like 200 kb/s for the entire time.

Love the Crowes!!!!! Saw them for the first time in '95 at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley. Awesome Show. Only own the first four albums but am unable to pick a favorite between Amorica,Southern.., or Three Snakes. Yes, Shake Your Moneymaker is at the bottom of my list, but hey so is Ten!

The Crowes are probably my favorite band right now (I'm sure it'll change when PJ starts touring though). I saw um like 10 times on the 05 tour and the NYE gig talkd about in this thread was amazing. I'll see um again when they hit Asheville and Atlanta in March. The only thing that sucks is that Ed may be out (probably is) out of the band. The acoustic tour looks great, but i doubt it'll come tot he south.

One of my favorite bands. Excited to see what comes out of them being in the studio with George Drakoulias.
