I saw her on Austin City Limits. I don't know anything about her but she is very talented.

Do any of you folks like her? Where do I begin to explore her albums?

I saw that Austin City Limits too. I would like to see her do a solo ACL show. I heard that she use to have some issues when she performed (drank too much, then wanted to argue with the crowd). Pick up "You Are Free",that's the first cd of her's that I got. good stuff.
when you get confused just listen to the music play........

"You damn well can't lick the system, but you can sure give it a good fondeling."-sleazy estate man(Hugh Laurie on A bit of Fry and Laurie)

"Judas Priest on a two stroke moped!"(Stephen Fry)

    Sounds like Ryan Adams

You Are Free is great. I also have What Would The Community Think and The Greatest, which are both good too.

Would love to see her live.

The Greatest is a very good disc. Has a memphis soul sound that fits her voice well.

You Are Free features some guy called Wes C. Addle on a few tracks. His voice is very familiar....
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

All the stuff on ACL was from "the Greatest", apart from the track Cross Bones Style (the one that went into (Can't get no) Satisfaction).

The Greatest is definitely the easiest album for a newbie to get into.

I actually became a Cat Power fan, because I picked up "You Are Free", after finding out that Eddie sings on a couple of tracks... :D

I've never seen her argue with the audience, but she has had alcohol problems, and she was very nervous when on stage alone. With a band behind her, she really is the greatest!

I love her! Of course the fact that she is unbelievably gorgeous has nothing to do with it... :D
If you all stop hitting refresh for just two minutes, I can buy my tickets...

Cat Power rules. Eddie actually does a couple songs with her. He appears on the You Are Free album (get it, it's beautiful)..on the songs Evolution and Good Woman.

After some research, I found that Adam Kasper produced Cat Power's "You Are Free". Same producer as Riot Act. Cool.
