i dont know if i agree....either way both are good
there is something about watching a person who wrote their own song singing it, you can tell he is into it

for example, i like the way joe strummer's version of "redemption song" sounds a lot better than the original.

I think you all are misinterpreting my point here. I am just saying the original of anything has to be considered "better", the fact that it was first. Otherwise the cover would never been made.

1 thing only I prefer in the Hannan version (his voice is nowhere as interesting as Ed's):
the 'you can't do that' line..it really jars in Ed's version, but here it kind of works.
