I like the new U2 Vertigo DVD and the Red Hot Chili Peppers "Live at Slane Castle". Another good DVD is the Rolling Stones "Four Licks" set which shows you the band performing in a number of different settings - theatre, arena and stadium.

    Sure there are the classics:

The Last Waltz by The Band
    Neil Young's Rust Never Sleeps
    The Led Zeppelin DVD

But my favorites of recent times have been:

The Drive By Truckers - Live at the 40 Watt
Elvis Costello & The Impostors - Live in Memphis
Pearl Jam - Live at the Garden... duh

A great one just released is Bruce Springsteen's Live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975, this came w/ the Born to Run remastered box set.

Right now it's definitely Live at the Garden, with Rush's R30 and Floyd's Live at Pompeii right up there.

Some stiff competition coming this year from Tool (hopefully), Porcupine Tree, and The Dillinger Escape Plan.

My two faves are RHCP @ Slain Castle and Led Zeppelin DVD.

Worst goes to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They sound like total ass live. I love the new album but damn this dvd sucks.

This thread reminds me that all my dvds are in storage and of how much I miss them.

    Led Zeppelin(the newer one)
    Pink Floyd:Live at Pompeii
    In the Flesh
    Deep End live

Rising Low-documentary of the makin of the Deep End albums by Mike Gordon of Phish

    Hendrix:Live at Woodstock
Black Crowes: Freak n Roll.........-got both these for $9.72 at WalMart

All my PJ are fantastic- the bootleg of the Benaroya show is pretty sweet

The Wall is good flick, but only b/c it has Floyd playin almost the entire time. The music rocks, and the movie is decent, but a live performance woulda been so much better

Pulse is gonna kick ass, but its gonna take alot to surpass Pompeii, which is absolutely, no questions asked, the greatest music dvd ever, along with the Zeppelin dvd from a few years back.

Fuck Yea.... I love it when The Black Crowes or Gov't Mule gets mentioned!! The Deepest End concert DVD is fucking great and so is Freak N Roll. I still havent seen Rising Low....I need to check that out.

The Zeppelin DVD rules all.....must see.
The Last Waltz is barely behind the Zeppelin DVD for great alltime for me.
REM's Perfect Square is great too.
