  • I am planning a spring trip to London, however, 42 pounds seems a bit steep, at least in American dollars. I will still be going to London, however I will prolly wait till the American dates go on sale.

£38.50 a ticket... fuck that... is that to make up for the number of people who downloaded the album for 1p

for me and the missus it'd be £77 for 2 tickets.. and booking fees on top of that?

    i'll pass this time :)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Seeing them at Roskilde next year :)
I would prefer if it wasn't at a festival, but at those ticket prices I probably wouldn't have bought them. 38 £ a ticket??!! Isn't that a tad too much?

I think it's pretty reasonable for a band as big as RH in fairly large venues. It's pretty equal to what PJ tickets were this past summer. Plus those who order through WASTE should hopefully get early entry but time will tell with that.

Maybe by European standards, but 80 dollars American for a ticket is wildly excessive here for the average concertgoer.

You really think that this is wildly excessive to charge $80 for a concert ticket? Do you only listen to indie rock and go to shows in clubs because most arena and amphitheater shows are around this much per ticket.

I think you are stuck in the 90's my friend as even Pearl Jam tickets approach $80 after all of the fees and they are some of the cheapest around. Plus its not Radiohead's fault that the dollar is so week as these prices are in Euros. I would expect it to be around $60 to see them when the US dates are announced.

Either way I will be there.

Yeah, I do. Unless it's multiple acts, yeah. And no, I don't just go to indie rock shows. Pearl Jam tix cost me 50 bucks last tour in an arena in Boston-- they have never come close to 80 dollars, so i'm not really sure what your sources are, and many other huge acts have comparable prices, oftentimes less. 80 bucks is excessive for just one act, and i'm sure a lotta people agree. but like i and you both said, i am sure that the prices will be adjusted to the U.S. dollar here.

I was going to ask if they were letting people pay what they want like they did with the album, but I know that would be too risky in Europe since the Europeans were apparently the ones paying the least.

  • Woooooot!!! :D
I might be doing Milanoooo if school things work out, and/or maybe Berlin... Think I might be getting tickets (at least for Milan) as soon as possible anyways, I guess if it doesn't work out it's always better for me to sell tickets than to be in Milan without any..
Anyone else doing one of those?

PJ tickets were really expensive for the 2007 compared to even their 2006 tour over here. Copenhagen was over $100 per ticket while London was $90. The fact is, that by UK and western Euro standards, these tickets are average priced.

Those Berlin tix are pretty cheap- I may need to consider that too. Haven't been to Berlin in years so it'd be a good excuse.

I've never been to Berlin before, but I guess it's a good way to start holidays! ;)
And I've just seen, they have a second Milan-date added... Brilliant, I was worrying about explaining 2 days away from school to my mom, how do I explain 3 days??? :D

Got mine for the 25th June, as I figured they would have warmed up on the 24th.So chuffed as they are the only band I love who I have not managed to see live yet!!Incidentally the tickets are about what I expected to pay for a huge arena band like them, just a smidge more than I paid to see PJ at Wembley in June.
Also about 8 zillion people were willing to pay £125 to see Led Zeppelin who will be highly wrinkled shadows of their former selves.I know which gig gives better value for money and which one I would rather be at for that matter!

I was tempted but I've had too much bad luck in Ireland, to be honest.

I've been to Ireland- Dublin specifically- twice. Both times bad things have happened and I was quite eager to come back home. There's no luck of the Irish in it for me. So as cool as it may be to see RH at this castle I decided I'd be better off passing on it.

Fair enough, sure there are plenty of UK gigs anyway. Looking forward to hearing Reckoner for sure!

Yeah, I'm doing three so I think that's adequate- they're not at Pearl Jam level for me so...

But yeah, I can't wait for Reckoner!! That Thumbs Down version sounds incredible, well except for that burp. And now that I have my discbox, I have to hear Down Is The New Up and Up On The Ladder (Snakes & Ladders = Sit Down Stand Up, I didn't even know that was locked away in my mind like that) live. Have to have to have to.

Yeah, not quite PJ's level for me either but I couldn't say no to 2 shows in Ireland. :D

Still haven't watched the webcast, got a vcd at homethat i'll watch tonight in celebration. And partly as a distraction form my enormous lack of discbox...
