Axl Rose, lead singer of the 90s group Guns 'N' Roses has confirmed that the original band is in talks to getting back together. The band broke up 10 years ago, but Axl has been using the band's name and will put on a new album this year with new members. He has said that the original band might get back together for some kind of reunion. Straight-up, bitch's need dough.

He said: "Every time there's a big festival announced, we get rumored to be on there. But we'll see what happens."

"I haven't spoken to Slash in ten years. I love the guy, I always wanted everyone to know how great he was, but I was just talking to guitarist Izzy Stradlin the other day."

You neglected to mention that the "big festival" comment was in reference to the new band, not the old one reforming. I would never say never but with the success of Velvet Revolver I wouldn't expect a GNR reunion anytime soon.

Axl may claim he loves Slash but ive only ever heard Slash refer to Axl in interviews as that "fucking redhead"...so I dont think its mutual lol

why would the reform when theres velvet revolver? think about that, their not just gonna leave the singer out in the rain

I like VR quite a bit, but given that Axl can get close to the old days, vocal wise, I would relish a GnR reunion. Not holdin my breath, but Axl at 75% with Slash and co is twice the band VR is.

after seeing VR live, I agree with you. VR is really, not that great. The best songs were from former bands, same as with Audioslave, and Scott Weiland as uber glam metal lead singer was not inspiring to say the least, that, and they had to follow Muse.

very few bands could follow muse. they are a steamroller.

as for G&R, i always hated axl despite liking some of the actual music.

nothing axl's involved with will ever see the light of day, he's become such a laughingstock that he should probably just move to Argentina and do loads of drugs with Diego Maradona.

i agree aswell i dont even like VR that much but i love GnR. but i dont think the bands just gonna ditch him

True, very true. It's not that they didn't put on a good show, and slash was well slash, but it just was less than I expected. It sucks because of the potential G&R laid out that AXL just decided to go nuts for 13 years. Maradona might be a great match really especially since it literally takes "the hand of God" to get Axl to do anything.

New Guns n' Roses are baaad... Axl doesn't have a voice anymore. If his voice changed and he could still sing, then that would be ok... but he can't sing anymore. Give It Up...

VR might not be excitingly creative, but at least their doing something besides whinging about the past!
