i don't think there's an English article on this (yet) so i'll translate it to the best of my abilities:

Di-rect will hit the threatres next year with a Dutch version of the classic rock-opera "Tommy" by legendary rock band The Who. The four men of Di-rect will play in about 70 theatres starting in October 2008. The première will take place in Rotterdam.

Ticket sales will start next spring, as was announced last Friday. Director Jos Thie will "design" (can't think of a better word) the show. Jan Rot will translate all the original songs to Dutch.

i've never been a fan of these guys, they're a pretty generic skate-punk band.
they did once deliver an alright cover of "My Generation". (YouTube)

i dunno.... i doubt any band would be able to properly revive Tommy, let alone a bunch of twenty-something spoiled little skate punks. i'll bet most of their fans don't even have a fuckin' clue who The Who are... :(
