I am way behind but i just recently fell in love with them and they are definetly one of my favorite and i think always will be, they are amazing!!! Mouthfull of Cavities, Walk, pretty much the whole Soup album, is the best thing that has happened to me in a while...Any other Melon heads out there???
How much difference does it make ?

I am in love with Blind Melon. Their music is incredible. The Woodstock footage of "Soup" is chilling.

I feel like the loss of Shannon Hoon took away more amazing music from the world than did the loss of Kurt Cobain...

I would complain if this was the 3rd Nickelback thread this week, but Blind Melon deserves as many threads as possible

I strongly recommend watching the "Letters from a Porcupine" DVD. One of the best music documentaries that I've seen.

I heard a lot about them, but not much of their actual stuff. Any recommended songs?

Come now listen babe I got a reason why I behave like a child with a light in his eye running naked on the cool of a winters night like a pidgeon that has spread it's wings to fly away to better things like a hammer that has made a dent in every single little cent you spent.

"Jump in the river... let the water soak the sin in my soul"

what a lyric. I've only got the self-titled album but I need to pick up soup. Soak the sin, sleepyhouse, paper scratcher and mouthfull of cavities are my favourite songs.

I have a question based on the songs i've heard, im confused on their religious beliefs, yet in interviews and such he mentions god and such, from what i have seen.

ex: " god damn, god damn that bible pushin man"

many others just can't think of them right now...

not that it matters on my outlook on the music, they are still spectacular in all ways ...i am just curious as of what his beliefs were..i mean maybe they are just against people pushing there beliefs on others...not sure??

    Any ideas

God on the other hand... who knows?

    Walk
    Toes Across the Floor
    Soup

Nico is a great, great album - Soul One and Soup are amazing songs. I think they would have easily been one of the biggest bands in the world if Shannon was still here.

that's actually a steppenwolf cover. it's not so much about religion as it is about "pushers"... people who try to force their lifestyle upon you, be it evangelical christians or drug dealers.
