I actually always liked the name, even though a lot people don't like them, the name is pretty cool. The other bands you listed I agree with, they really don't make sense, but I liked MCR's name before I even really started listening to them.
And Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is pretty shit btw. I've never heard the band but it sounds as ridiculous as any scene band of the present day.

I hate band names like Bon Jovi and Winger, where they name it after the lead singer, yet claim to be a full band. How can the band be equals if you are named after the singer? Just call yourself a solo act and step aside.
