Stone Temple Pilots more mellow stuff (Plush, Still Remains, A Song For Sleeping)

Pearl Jam's more acoustic stuff

The Cults more mellow stuff (Nirvana, She Sells Sanctuary)

Tom Petty-ish?

    Perhaps that album might do you some good it is moody melodic indie rock. good lyrics poppy songs.

    Try Matthew Good Band. Download the songs "Apparitions", "Born to Kill" and "Flashdance II". After that you'll be ready for a little album called "Beatiful Midnight".
