they are brilliant, billy is awesome song writer, jimmy , very good drummer.
i think collectively they are just brilliant
They are probably a little overrated, they put out two really great albums in Siamese Dream & Adore. Mellon Collie would have been a third if Corgan didn't feel the need to expand it into a double album. Like almost every double album ever made, there is enough junk on the two discs that could have been cut out to make one amazing album, oh well. I never liked Gish much and Machina isn't very good. But still, two great albums is two more than 99% of all other bands in the world.
