I don't mind the new song, and I may be on my own here, but thought his last album, The Pale Emperor, was excellent. Easily one of my fav albums of 2015. I really like his older stuff too, but thought Pale Emperor was a great sound
I really like The Pale Emperor too. It got pretty good reviews as well, if I remember correctly. You're definitely not on your own! I like the new song - I just don't think it's great. It's fine, and again, the general sound it has makes me happy and eager to hear the rest of the album.

The video is practically hilarious, in that it is just SOOOO Marilyn Manson. Kinda hardcore though, even for him. I am not a fan of "gun porn" vids. But whatever.

loved them in 95 opening for NIN, never heard them before that night, they were awesome....until he started jerkin off on a 12 inch dildo and almost got the show closed down...worst concert moment ever as far as performance is concerned
It's good IMO. I liked the last one, but this one is better IMO. SPIN's review isn't very flattering - it basically goes on about how he hasn't evolved over the years and at this point in his career it's all kind of juvenile. I guess this is a response to the fact that this sounds like old school Manson ... and somehow SPIN thinks that is outdated drivel (despite some strong points that they acknowledge, but mostly attribute to Tyler Bates). Well, I disagree, although that might be because of nostalgic love of the old Manson albums, not the relevance of the album in current times. Or it might be because his lyrics were never relevant to me in the first place. I've always like Manson because of the overall awesome rock-out sound and beat, not because he sings about fucking, guns, anger, etc. I've always been pretty damn happy go lucky, especially back then, so never got anything out of the rebellion aspect of his music. So SPIN probably has a point about how Manson and all his fans who do relate to that kind of subject matter should have moved on a long time ago. I just don't give a shit. Also, SPIN's review comes of a bit like it was written by some fucking grim fuddy duddy who doesn't like profanity. Like, stop taking it so fucking seriously, whoever you are, it's Marilyn Manson. This album sounds rad to me. Still not as good as his greatest albums from back in the day, but pretty darn good.
I wonder how he is doing? I never even read what his injuries are.
