mastodon...they're kicking my ass

ok, i bought blood mountain a couple months ago and then almost immediately bought remission, leviathan and call of the mastodon as i just cannot get enough of this band.

so...can someone recommend me other bands that are similar in style? just wondering what suggestions you have.

    well, you should just go ahead and purchase Remission and Leviathan. However since you do love them, I'd suggest

    High on Fire - Blessed Black Wings
    Strapping Young Lad - City
    Opeth - Blackwater Park.

    These 3 bands plus Mastodon should be classified under 'Essential Metal Listening 101'.

    I'm not a big metal fan, but a friend burned me a copy of Leviathan and I really dig it.

    I also really like Opeth's Blackwater park.
