The Best Johnny Cash Record - American III or IV?

just had a debate with my sister...about our fav johnny cash album...she says that III is the best...don't know why...;) ...no, there might be some arguments...

imo IV is the best...hurt, personal jesus,...it's so emotional and so special...

or an older one? or american I? what do you think?

    Thanks for that link. Great song and it let me find his Heart of Gold cover. I hadn't heard that in a long time.

    I agree with you; the IMO IV.

    I like the two tracks you mentioned; who would have ever thought that Johnny Cash would do a cover of a NIN song? That is so cool......

    The reflection he uses in these songs are really deep. His life was a great story and he used his feelings on the end of his life as another avenue to expand his talent on. That is really something...........
