Rumor is that Sublime is reuniting with a new singer

http://ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/sublime_reuniting_with_new_singer.html

This would be pretty cool to see but chances are it'll just sound like a college cover band. Unfortunately it doesn't say whether Louie Dog will be around for the reunion.

Long Beach Dub was Eric and Bud + friends.

They didn't just play covers though.

I would think this would be all covers of Sublime.

I just think it is really hard to replace singers and I don't think it is a good idea. Just like Zeppelin talking about touring without Plant, Queen touring without Mercury (RIP), or INXS and Yes touring with god knows who. It just doesn't make any sense. Next thing you know Nirvana is going to reunite and tour with a new singer. Ridiculous!

I'd say Lou-Dog has probably been dead for a few years at this point. Brad died in 95, and Lou dog was already a few years old. He'd have to be 16+ at this point. Not likely for a big dog...:(

On the Sublime behind the music episode, it announced that Lou Dog Passed away in 2001. His ashes were scattered in the same spot as Brad's accoording to the documentary.
Here's the clip. The whole episode is up there in segments.

  • I think this sounds like a pretty terrible idea. There is already a really killer Sublime tribute band called Badfish that seems to play all of the HOB venues. I have seen them twice in Dallas and if you had your back turned while ordering a drink at the bar, you could swear it was Bradley singing. I can't see paying actual band prices for a faux-Sublime when I can catch a Badfish show for $10-15.

    Just my $.02

No kidding, I saw Badfish around 5 years ago and they were great. Sounded just like sublime. I would much rather save the money and see them also.
