everyone knows about myspace and I know alot of people think it sucks and other people think it rules. I am in the middle. If any of you jamley members are in a band on myspace then post your bands page here so we can check it out. I'll start with my band:

I play guitar and sing a little bit. But most of our stuff is instrumental. Please check it out and post your band page/profile.

We're PJ fans and a lot of people say we do sound a little like them which is a huge compliment.

New York based band Motion Picture is a power-pop foursome that showcases soaring guitar hooks, pounding drums, laconic vocals, and sweet harmonies. Best described as a cross between Blur and Elvis Costello with the vigor and drive of the Pixies, Motion Picture charms audiences with its schizophrenic-to-epic songwriting while pumping out a wall of guitars sound. http://www.motionpictureband.com

i've got a couple of those but here's one:

i wrote the music and play guitar... used to play quite a few acoustic nights in london... but be warned, the sound quality is horrible but quite incredible considering it was recorded live through the BUILT IN microphone of my laptap...
and if anyone happens to listen to this, please check out the second track as well as it's rather different from the other stuff...
Some days you wake up and sit on a park bench next to an eighty year old Russian architect, and some days you don't. I think this is my new life philosophy.

Thanks psycosmic,
depends the song really... There's 8 guys in my band. we all rotate instruments ALL the time.
"Always Be Together" - I'm not on that recording.. although I have played bass and rhythm guitar on that one
"You Don't Wanna Fuck with Us" - I do the last rap on that one, play the rhythm guitar at the end
"Bleed Marinara" - I wrote the piano part and bass line, however don't play it cause I rap the 1st and 3rd verses, and really need to move around
"The Hangover Challenge" - I rap, and play one of the guitars on that one-- we only use one guitar live... and the the guitar is basically a slide being tapped against the e, b, and g strings of the 11th and 12th frets.
I'm really glad you're diggin it. pass it along!
Dude, I could only get two of the 4 songs to play....
Living in the now....Sounds like it goes from Hendrix, to Alice in Chains to RHCP, back to Hendrix. The music is pretty top notch. But it sounds like the drums are a bit too "well mic'd" while the guitar is way too much in the background. At least for the Hendrix type parts. I dig the music for sure man, but throwing a singer/lyrics and maybe remixing with the drums less affluent (I guess) would help out a ton.
RUM....Once again, reminds of different bands. Kinda starts out Sublime-ish. Into maybe STP or QOTSA.
I think you guys have a pretty cool sound for sure, but personally I'd show off the guitar WAY more....Thats you right? Pretty cool stuff. Now if you could get vocals to match some of the music (maybe its in the 2 songs I couldn't hear) you'd be on your way I think bro.
Wow, thanks alot man. I am really glad you dig our stuff. I agree with what you said about the drums and stuff. We are still trying to get a really good mix of that song. If you ever hear "A reason to Try" I sing on that one. It is all accoustic and it is pretty good. The other one "The message" is instrumental too. We just got a singer recently and we are writing lyrics tonite. Once again thank you so much for your advice and honest opinion!
No problem at all bro. And seriously any "innocent bystanders" check their sH*t out! I'll try and stream "a reason to try" for sure man. I was waiting awhile, and it never came up. But if you're the guitar player, give yourself a bit of a pat on the back man, you rock for sure. Just make sure to find a vocalist/lyricst that is GOOD ENOUGH for your stuff man, no question. The recording mix will come with experience, or a professional, so don't worry about that. Get the song down first, then work on the recording and everything else will follow man.
What do you play in the band, before I "critique" man?
