most def. i need to make a mix cd with all their shit. not sure why they never guess they came in on the tail end of "grunge" and mainstream just wasn't interested.

I think with "hardcore" coming back, that they would be large right now!

it was a newly formed band (1997) with *i think the singer* from quicksand. Killer band aswell. If you like quicksand you like handsome aswell.

Quicksand was a damn solid group. I recently mentioned them on another thread around here. Also good call on Handsome...they were solid too. I had the privledge of seeing them live once w/ Silverchair and Local H and they were excellent. If you guys dig these groups you should check out the band Rival Schools, their lead singer is the guy from Quicksand and I believe theres a guy from Civ in there too.

    Quicksand Rocks!

I don't think I've listened to them in about 13 years though. I just remember listening to them while learning how to Snowboard at Hood.

For those of you who dig Quicksand or a fan of Walter's music in general (myself included). They’re back! Tour starts next month. New album Interiors out in November.

Walter Schreifels one those artists that has been putting out great music for some time. Other worthy mentions.
Youth of Today (Bass) – Still tour
Gorilla Biscuits (Guitar) – Still tour
Rival Schools as mentioned in this thread were very good. (Vocals, Guitar)
    Vanishing Life (Vocals) - Current
Dead Heavens (Vocals, Guitar) - Current

Loving the new album, and if you have a chance to see them live on the tour they are doing this month, you should definitely do so. Saw them a week or so ago, and they were great.

On a side note, if you do happen to catch them in the next few weeks and would be willing to snag an extra tour poster, shoot me a message. Would be happy to reimburse you, plus a bit extra.) I managed to mangle mine on the way home and am not too happy about it. It has art from the same person who did the album cover, and part of the poster even glows in the dark.
