I sat third row on Mike's side (not in front of the stage - on the side) for VFC... hmmm... is Thomas Wolfe the same as the Civic Center? I can't remember anything anymore...

    but those seats were great.

of course, the first 40% or so of the floor seats would have been rad too.

They are part of the same complex, but Thomas Wolfe is a small theater like auditorium that seats close to 2000. It has an upper balcony and a lower section, and there really aren't any bad seats in the venue. I've seen Wilco play here and was in the 11th row on the floor. I think the best seats are the first 15 or so rows on the floor and then the seats on the side balcony and the first couple of rows in the center balcony.
  • I'm assuming this is for the Strokes show?

what about the mezzanine? which is i guess the rows of risers right behind the floor?

its for the strokes, so i'd assume GA ont he floor right? my wife is pregnant, so obviously seats are our only option...

I don't think they can remove the seats, so no, it should not be General Admission. Yeah, the Mezzanine seats towards the front are pretty good. Like I said, its such a small venue that there really isn't a bad seat. I just pulled up Mezzanine Left Row BB which is the second row. Those are fine seats.

it may be too late, but i saw the strokes there last friday (2 fridays now, i guess)

it might not matter where your seats are. my seats were row A, which was suppsoedly the 4th row, but it turned out the first 3 rows were really a gerneal admission type thing...after the opening band played and while they were getting the instruments ready for the strokes security let ppl crowd up the stage, needless to say i jumped outta my seat and got real close! :D

it's a pretty nice place to see a show, just try to be ready to run up when the time's right
    standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way
