80's Metal

Doing a comp. I've had no problem with 60's mind trip music and 70's glam rock, but I'm dead-ending at 80's metal.
So far I have:
Faster Pussycat - Bathroom Wall
Pandoras - Run Down Love Battery
White Lion - Radar Love
Twisted Sister - You Can't Stop Rock 'N Roll
Kix - Blow My Fuse
L.A. Guns - Never Enough
Bullet Boys - Smooth Up In Ya
I'm looking for stuff in the "hair metal" catagory, but I'm trying to avoid the flat-out-sucks-balls music of someone like, say, Winger.
Suggestions?

I'm going to see Winger tonight. I shit you not. Not sure how it's much different than Faster Pussycat, but fair enough...

Dio - Holy Diver
Whitesnake - Still of the Night
Autograph - Turn Up the Radio
Zebra - Tell Me What You Want
Electric Boys - All Lips and Hips

Slaughter- Up All Night
Whitesnake- Still of the Night
Poison- Pick anything
Winger- Seventeen

"the waiting drove me mad..."
LOL. You dis Winger yet you have White Lion on your list. Very funny stuff.
None of these other folks know what the hell they are talking about. Well, Atomic Punk probably does. But I am king when it comes to this genre.
You will download and LOVE the following 80's hairband tunes (with the help of my iPod, here we go A to Z). Trust me on this, don't listen to any of these other poseurs. Download these and you'll be playing airguitar for weeks:
Aerosmith - Love In An Elevator
Alice Cooper - Poison
Britny Fox - Long Way To Love
Cinderella - Gypsy Road
The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary (props for the earlier mention in this thread)
Def Leppard - Photograph
Dio - Holy Diver
Dokken - Tooth & Nail
Enuff Z'Nuff - Fly High Michelle
Great White - All Over Now
G'NR (if you count them) - Sweet Child O' Mine
Iron Maiden - Wasted Years (AWESOME song)
Judas Priest - Painkiller
Kiss - Heaven's On Fire (probably the best sex song from the 80's)
Kix - Cold Blood
L.A. Guns - Never Enough (try to stand still during the opening riff)
Motley Crue - Looks That Kill
Poison - Talk Dirty To Me
Queensryche - Revolution Calling
Quiet Riot - Metal Health
Ratt - Lay It Down (what a riff)
Savatage - Strange Wings
Skid Row - Youth Gone Wild
Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It
Van Halen - Panama
WASP - I Wanna Be Somebody (f-yes!!!!)
Winger - Seventeen
Vixxen - Edge of a Broken Heart
Faster Pussycat was campy and sleazy and knew it. Winger was just...eck.
I dis Winger because I've never heard one song of his bands songs that I liked, either musically or lyrically. I liked White Lion's cover of "Radar Love," which is why I included it it in my list.
Fanch, that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. Excluding Winger, of course.
Hmmmmmmmm...sounds like Kip Winger got a hold of someone's lady....
Well it wouldn't surprise me...that tale has been told on five continents! Seriously, though, I went through my iPod and these would be my suggestions:
Cinderella - "Shelter Me"
Damn Yankees - "Come Again"
Def Leppard - "Photograph"
Dio - "Holy Diver"
Extreme - "Kid Ego"
Great White - "Once Bitten Twice Shy"
Guns N' Roses - "Mr. Brownstone"
Kix - "Don't Close Your Eyes"
L.A. Guns - "The Ballad Of Jayne"
Motley Crue - "Kickstart My Heart"
Night Ranger - "Sister Christian"
Poison - "Unskinny Bop"
Queensryche - "Take Hold Of The Flame"
Scorpions - "Don't Believe Her"
Skid Row - "Monkey Business"
Slaughter - "Up All Night"
Steelheart - "I'll Never Let You Go"
Warrant - "Uncle Tom's Cabin"
Whitesnake - "Fool For Your Loving"
Winger - "Rainbow In The Rose"
great white......sail away
these two songs are good.......if you do not like them, i will gladly issue a public apology and a refund.
I strongly recommend that you start the CD like this:
Revolution Calling - Queensryche
Tooth & Nail - Dokken
She Sells Sanctuary - The Cult
after that, it doesn't matter....but that's a perfect way 1-2-3 punch to start off a kick ass compilation
LA GUNS- BALLAD OF JAYNE
BON-JOVI- LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME
POISON- RIDE THE WIND
WARRANT- SOMETIMES SHE CRIES
"What a stupid lamb."
"What a sick, masochistic lion."
Hear N Aid - We're Stars.
Seriously, every band mentioned in this thread may have contributed to this. This song preferably would close out the mix.
youtube the video, it is just...classic.
That is an incredible album. George freaking WAILS and there are some great songs on it - I listened to it while cutting grass and liked almost every song on there. Wicked Sensation is pretty cliché and is probably the weakest track, but the rest is great. I really like All I Want, River of Love, Hell Child, No Bed of Roses. Great tunes, and George wails!!!
