Most of the songs posted so far have been recorded by hundreds of different musicians."I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"0 -
Jeremy1012 wrote:You misunderstand me. Not "Irish people with acoustic guitars". Rather, Irish people playing traditional Irish songs or contemporary songs which borrow from that tradition.

Well all you said was "irish folk music." And Damien Rice certainly qualifies. But that's cool.I'm the first mammal to wear pants, yeah0 -

Then again definitions change with the times and for the sake of ease people are always going to label singer-songwriter type musicians as "folk" musicians. I should have clarified."I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"0 -

The Clancy Bros. Christmas album is probably my favorite Christmas album. I can listen to it over and over again.
