Judee Sill

I noticed from a search that there is not one post on this board about this musician. Apparently she was completely overlooked during her lifetime but had a Drake-esque revival (albeit on a much smaller scale) a couple of years ago when a compilation was brought out. If you like folky pop or female singer-songwriters, I advise you to get that compilation which contains both her albums, Judee Sill and Heart Food. Some of it is kind of overly orchestrated and overly mystical, and some of the arrangements aren't far off The Carpenters but some of the songs are beautiful.

"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
