Oh my god. is this for real? How could she, or any woman, possibly have a voice that would suit Waits' songs? I'm not saying she couldn't pull it off but I'm very sceptical. I look forward to hearing this to see if its as bad as it sounds.

"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

I'd like to hear her do "Never Talk to Strangers" with Bill Murray...Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.0

I get the feeling that I'll be in the minority on this one....but I think she'll sound a hell of lot better than Tom Waits.

I wonder if she'll do 'What's he building?''We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

I love Tom's voice.
seriously."What’s Orphans? I don’t know. Orphans is a dead end kid driving a coffin with big tires across the Ohio River wearing welding goggles and a wife beater with a lit firecracker in his ear." - Tom Waits0 -
