Husker Du, live at the Pinkpop festival in 1987 doing their cover of The Byrds' "Eight Miles High". This is so amazing. Bob Mould's vocals are so intense it sounds like its his last ever performance. Its better than the single version I think which was already in my list of best covers ever.

that is exactly why Mould is on the very short list of my favorite singers. his intensity is second to none. Husker Du ranks as the #1 band I wish I got to see live.

his vocals on the live versions of The Slim and Explode and Make Up (as heard on Besides)? yeah.

I know what you mean. I managed to turn a person who isn't even a good friend of mine, just an acquaintance, on to husker du yesterday by showing them that video. just a truly spectacular band

About 30 seconds into the video i realized that i need to listen to Zen Arcade, since i downloaded it months ago but haven't gotten around to listening to it... then at about 2:20 I realised I needed to hear every Husker Du album.... then at about the 3:45 mark i realized i might need to hear every Bob Mould album too..... Thanks for the great video!!!
