Are we on the brink of a vinyl bubble?

All anyone seems to talk about on this board these days is "sacred PJ vinyl" at ridiculous prices. But are the vinyls overpriced? Is supply really not meeting demand? Or is there more PJ vinyl out there than we think? Is everyone in a panic here for no reason? I smell Tulip mania ;)

The vinyls are definately overpriced compared to when they first came out, but if you can tell me where I can get them for cheaper than the norm, I'm all ears.

how are vinyls and different from posters on here or ebay? They were originally sold for around the same price and depending on how old or rare they are (just like the vinyl) they can go for a ton of money.

It's all about supply and demand

Excellent reference, mitch ;) we should hold a Dutch auction & suss out the 'real' price on the vinyl.

Though I suspect they really are that rare.

Wouldn't it be funny if we found out years from now that they really pressed 20,000 Benayoya hall vinyls. Yeah....after the first 2,000 they just started the numbers over again. Ha, the prices would drop like a lead balloon.

I don't collect, but with all the talk recently I've thought about it. If I had money I would consider it.

So my observation is there is NO bubble at this point. If anything people are getting more interested and excited about Vinyl. Causing prices to continue to rise for those rare items.
