    our MTV2 is pretty much the same as MTV but theyre able to be a little more racy and offensive because its not standard cable... i think they have video blocks every once in awhile... i dont think i get that channel anymore... "wonder showzen" is a damn funny show tho

    Yeah, MTV2 can suck as equally as MTV sometimes... but Wonder Showzen is fucking hilarious, the humor in that is so fucking random and just downright wrong, but that makes it so right.
    If I could, think I would give in.

    MTV2 here started like that, with a ton of music videos. years later, it's now a clone of MTV. Give it time in the UK, it'll be just as craptacular as our MTV2 :) MTV U on our Verizon TV is pretty good tho -- a lot of indie music, which is refreshing.

    MTV is geared towards 15 year old girls.

    MTV2 is geared towards 15 year old boys.

    When I was a freshman in college (fall of 2000, spring of 2001) Mtv2 showed nothing but videos and music related programming. In fact, I remember the main Mtv station had a commercial where someone throws a TV out of a window and then a voice over says, "If you want videos, get MTV2. Call your cable provider, blah, blah, blah." My room mate and I basically kept it on MTV2 all the time because of all the music...and it wasn't just pop crap either. They played a lot of underground/indie music. Now they have resorted to showing marathon re-runs of Pimp My Ride...bullshit.

    MTVU is the only MTV to see videos on anymore. They show it on a lot of college campus'(explaining the "U"), I'm not sure if it is available on cable or satillite, but it is definitely the best music video channel MTV offers. They play some pretty obscure stuff, it's pretty good.

    Yep I remember when MTV2 was awesome. But that obviously didn't last too long. Hell even VH1 barely has music videos anymore (not that I would want to see too much on there anyway).
