I've been listening to this cd alot the past couple of days, and I have to say, wow, what an amazing album. A friend of mine got me into them last year and I have to say im really disappointed that they are no longer around they were a pretty amazing group.
PJ at MSG in 2008! Mission Accomplished

The band all knows. We're too afraid to mention.

Its the best album from 2000!!! Its perfect in my opinion.... "Patter Against User" is in my top 5 favorite songs ever!! This is the only band i regret not seeing live.

I did catch Mars Volta at the TLA in Philly when the first album came out, and it was cool.... they did the entire first album, front to back, then did their ep as the encore.... and I saw Sparta open for PJ back in 03, and they were okay.......

  • ROC is just brilliant, its one of those albums you can put on at any time and it still is amaizng, i wish ATDI were still together, but to be honest i love its two offspring much better

  • they couldn't have made an album to top that together. that's why they split and topped it with each of their post ATDI bands.

I disagree. They couldn't have made an album that sold that well again. Relationship of Command is definitely their most accesible work, but that doesn't make it their best. Their other albums are fantastic and well worth checking out.

As for their post ATD-I projects being better? I disagree again. I love The Mars Volta and have seen them lives twice, and while I don't care for Sparta, both bands are too different to At The Drive-In to really be compared, but I suppose such comparisons are inevitible.
