I was listening to BadMotorFinger today and relized that it was a really great album ive had it for a while now but for some reason never really relized how amazing it is, id say its almost as good as superunknown, if not just as good, and doesnt seem to get the respect it deserves
PJ at MSG in 2008! Mission Accomplished

The band all knows. We're too afraid to mention.

Almost as good as Superunknown? It's not even close. Badmotorfinger smokes Superunknown!
  • 1. Rusty Cage- can you think of a better way to kick off an album, because i cant. Great intro, great bridge.
2.Outshined- "I got up feeling so down, i got up feeling so low. I kept the movie rolling, but the story getting old now" These lyrics take me back to a dark time.
3.Slaves and Bulldozers- Great jam, produced some great live versions with some cool tags like alive or smells like teen spirit.
4.Jesus Christ Pose- Quite simply one of the most kick ass songs ever written period!
5.Face Pollution- Great up tempo jam, kicks my ass!
6.Somewhere-Good mid tempo with some kick ass screams at the end.
7.Searching with my good eye closed-My all time favorite live SG tune, would open shows in the 94-95 era.
8.Room a thousand years wide-Super heavy riff, cornell sings in the lower end of his range for most of this song, great version on Motorvision.
9.Mind Riot- "Im lucks last match struck in the pouring down wind", deep lyrics.
    10.Drawing Flies-Cool punk influenced song
11.Holy Water- Funky, chrunchy guitar work here by Kim Thayil, Great tune.
12.New Damage- Awsome closer with cornell and thayil dueling it out to the chaotic end
Bottom line one of the best albums of the nineties!!!!

I miss Soundgarden. Always looked forward to their cd's.
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."

    GREAT album.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

    By far Soundgarden's best offering.

    Raw, heavy, intellectual and bold.

Badmotorfinger is awesome, but I don't think it touches Pearl Jam's first 3 albums. But we can agree to disagree ^^

"I'm looking California, and feeling Minnesota" is one of my favorite lines in a song ever though.

BMF was always my favorite Soundgarden album, but I have been listening to Superunknown a lot recently, and its catching up to BMF for me
