They put on a great show can't wait.....
Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
And I'm bored to tears.......

How many freakin' Fillmores are there?

I think Detroit and Denver have them?

Man, there's only one Fillmore, it was in San Francisco (the Fillmore here now isn't even the original, but, it's still the premier Fillmore).

Cool, on the Crowes tix. I was going to try and get tix for their Hampton Beach show on the 29th (sandwiched between 2 PJ shows) .... still contemplating it.

They have been rebranding places with the Fillmore name

Irving Plaza in NYC was one of them I think...but they just changed it back to the original name

The only ones I call the Fillmore are the two in San Francisco and Denver, which are owned by the same people

Saw them play with Jimmy Page years back, was a great show. I'm seeing them in August when they open for Dave Matthews at Alpine Valley, I'm more excited about them than Dave.

As well you should be. Crowes = liquor + cocaine, DMB = lite beer + pretzels

I'm seeing the Crowes in August at the MN State Fair, I think this will be number 14 for me. TO be honest I'm not a huge fan on Warpaint and wasn't that excited about the show but THe Black Keys are opening and the double bill is what got me to buy tickets.

  • Just got the presale tix for Providence and Boston (Opera House!!). I've seen them ten times already (first one in '93) and will catch them anytime they come around. Consistently great shows, varied setlists and tons of covers (kind of like another band we know...).

On another note, though Warpaint gets ripped by most Crowes fans, it's one of my favorites. Granted the songs live are much better (liveblackcrowes.com), but Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution, Wounded Bird, O. Josephine, and Wee Who See the Deep are great both live and in studio.

Crowes first stop, PJ's last, back to back nights :) Don't skip it!

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the band/crew make it up there on Sunday, there's that whole day off thing, Hampton Casino right on the beach ... The Crowes are just scorching again.
  • Seeing them on June 29th. Psyched for this show. This will be my first time seeing them with the new keyboard player and Luther from NMAS.
