i've only really listened to a couple of their songs...but i like what i hear. and i always try and support florida bands....given that they aren't awful, of course....the black kids being from jacksonville.

i know that i'm getting their cd in at work tomorrow, so i'll give it a proper listen and report my findings.

they are the "hot" new band of the moment, so i'm sure that it's warranted.

Black Kids are a very cool band, I actually listened to their album for the first time about 5 days ago... I was impressed.

IDK they strike me as a bunch of teenage freaks trying to be different.. but I guess their music is pretty catchy

they've got a tune on the american teen soundtrack, right?

for a second i thought maybe this thread was about miles benjamin anthony robinson's backing band, but i think they're called the black boys. mbar is definitely worth checking out, too.

I saw them about 6 or 7 months ago at a free show, and it was hella good. They're not the kind of band I'd seek out the albums or pay big bucks for, but it's catchy fun music that doesn't take itself too seriously.
