Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
Hehe, well, it's Jason Isbell doing it live with 400 Unit, but yeah. I fucking love that song.
its the song that got me interested in the truckers in the first place. i figured any band that sings about those two men has got to be on my turntable.

.....but seriously even though it's been past 20 years it has to be THE CLASH and BOB MARLEY and THE WAILERS.

not so much a band as a person. kurt cobain.
i think he would have moved past nirvana and gone on to do some interesting stuff, most likely outside music, as well as within it. the man was more than his music, im sure of that.
+1
From seeing his drawings and other art pieces, I think he was a very talented artist as well. Musically, I think he had only started to scratch the surface of what he could do, both with Nirvana and outside of the band. I really wish we could have had the Cobain/Stipe project materialize.
I can't just pick one band though. I'd also have to add Soundgarden and Alice in Chains as those are two more of my favorites. Also, gotta admit that I've always been curious as to whether Andy Wood and Mother Love Bone would have become big like they imagined. I know there's a few other bands I wish was still around too. I don't think I could choose just one...
The Doors- hands down- little longer than 20 years ago though

they wouldve been run down by the grunge juggernaut like all those other bands. though had they adapted, perhaps not. doubt it though.

yeah, that could very well have been the case
although, I think Andy was savvy enough to recognize they would need to adapt and charismatic enough to keep fans after any change.....I guess it would have just depended on their willingness to follow suit, which would probably have been their biggest hurdle as I'm sure he would've wanted to keep his glam image....
its hard to say the Beatles cause who knows if they would still continue to make brilliant music...I mean look at the Rolling Stones..sorry but they havent put a good album out in decades..songs yes but not albums. I'd like to remember the Beatles as is.
Cant say Nirvana cause I am one of those people who think the Foo's are a way better band and I'm glad Dave Grohl got out...even if Kurt had lived I honestly dont think they'd still be together anyways
I'm going with Alice In Chains or Neds Atomic Dustbin
Nothing real shocking here....
AIC
Soundgarden
The Doors (although I fear they would be a shell of what they were if around today)
