Last night, for the first time, I saw a tribute band.

What do you people think of this growing genre?

I saw the leading Morrissey/Smiths (and no, I am not asking for your opinions on the Mozz!) Tribute band......the singer sounded like Mozz, but seemed to be trying too hard to get all the right moves down.

It was sort of creepy.

I think its better if these bands just play the songs, and not try to be the actual band.

    Well,

I think its a great thing, it promotes the music of the ongoing bands out there and keeps it alive. A few weeks ago I saw a Pearl Jam Tribute called Rearviewmirror a Band out of Toronto Canada and they were really good, as a musician I would recommend this band to everyone! Their website is http://www.pjtribute.com, check it out. They also play The Hardball Cafe in Milton / Ontario this coming Friday!!

    Cheers,

    Eyes on you!
