seriously, this guy is badass.

Saw him at Bonnaroo this year and was easily one of the hlghlights of the festival for me, with PJ, MMJ, Robert Plant, etc. Love his quote in that video where he says this is his "thirteenth Bonnaroo."

The man was "too good" for Metallica when he tried out for them in the 80s.

sickest bassist alive. great sense of humor too..go rent/download/buy his movie "Electric Apricot: The Quest for Festeroo" it's hysterical. I watched it at the movie tent at Bonnaroo and bought it when we got back.

Thats a sweet song. I also like the one he played with the MIRV guy with the saw. Les is fucking incredible, I used to be a huge Primus fan until I got into PJ. Anything Claypool does is good, even his last solo album.

Wasn't the right fit for either him or the band.....if joined Metallica back then...that would mean no Primus!!!!! That would suck!!!

I was never a huge Primus fan, they were good fun. But I saw them once, opening for Rush, and Les played the opening to Metallica's Master Of Puppets on a stand up, slap bass......he is an incredible musician from what I saw that night. Even though he seems completely nuts :D
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....
  • love les, seen him live 3 times (twice with primus, once with frog brigade).

personally, i think some of his best work was when he was a part of oysterhead.
