    dammit!

I'm going home for Christmas (northern mass) and heading back home (current, SF) on the 26th ...

these guys are a blast in concert ... and I love the Middle East downstairs.

With Dickey in LA doing Kimmel, was hoping that if they did this, they'd play a few west coast dates.

    c'mon boys, head west.

I wonder why Jimmy employs him....all he does is sit up and clap to the music when they fade to commercials, as well as a few voiceovers.

He used to do a morning radio show here, but one day he was gone. Word is that the entire morning show team revolted against him.....he ain't the nicest fella behind the scenes!
  • The Hometown Throwdown is back!!! I went to 4 of them and they were great shows, glad to see them back.

Sounds like the other 2 orig members may have taken exception to Dicky's involvement with RFK,Jrs. anti-vax efforts.

Dammit I knew it had to be something like this. Kinda assumed Dicky woulda been on the other side. Maybe he and Joe Arthur will make a record.

Oh wow, this thread is a relic 😂. Really disappointed how it ended, but grateful to have seen them a few times (and at one of my greatest shows ever at the Middle East for their annual hometown Throwdown). These guys were my favorite prior throughout my teens until I noticed Pearl Jam and they faded from my consciousness a bit. Thanks, fellas, for being one of my earliest musical influences.

Saw them at Roseland nyc many years ago. I loved the dude in the shiny jumpsuit who danced on stage the whole show. I think that was them?

I didn’t even know they broke up and then reformed  in the first place and then broke up again.  I’m all caught up now on 15 years worth of news.

I saw them do a show at Ska Fest here, a year or two before covid. It was ok :)
