has the distinction of being my absolute favorite beatles album. and i never really hear any of its tunes on the radio, which is pretty bizarre to me. Some of it doesn't always work, but I fucking give them credit for the experimentalism of it all, especially revolution 9, which sounds revolutionary and fucked up now, nevermind 38 years ago.
among my favorites: back in the ussr, helter skelter, happiness is a warm gun, glass onion, ob-la-di ob-la-da, while my guitar gently weeps, i'm so tired

It's my favorite Beatles album too and Back in the USSR and Helter Skelter are my two favorite Beatles songs. great vocal performances by Paul on both. love the mock Beach Boys feel on USSR and the guitars (and John on the Sax!) on Helter Skelter are truly amazing for me
and if you like Revolution 9, here's the entire track played backwards. you get the "turn me on dead man" loop through out and it at times sounds cooler than the normal forward version:http://kingtet.com/number9/number9.mp3
