This album is incredible. Just want to say that the Beatles are awesome and this album is just outstanding. I don't think it gets enough credit. Possibly my all-time favorite Beatles album. The songs, the harmonies, everything. So good.

Dude, this is like my favorite Beatles album ever with the white album right behind it.
I used to listen to rubber soul non- stop on my shitty fisher price record player as a kid. The weird thing is on the vinyl, it had "it's only love" as the first track, and apparently when they released it to cd, they put out the UK version only which has "drive my car" as the opener. Awesome album for sure. I love the way it flows together, and this recording session without a doubt was some of Lennon/ McCartney and Harrison's song writing.

  • definitely the transition album between the early work and the later, drug-influenced stuff (read: better stuff). you can hear shades of both in the songs which makes for some great stuff.
Those undecided,........ Needn't have faith to be free
And those misguided, There was a plan for them to be
Now you got both sides Claiming killing in Gods name
But God is nowhere,..... To be found, conveniently

    What goes on?

That's totally wierd. I grew up listening to this on my crappy Fisher-Price tape player. Seriously. It was before walkmen, but it was a little portable tape player, but had no slot for headphones. Just small little speakers.
