Anybody else listen to this magnificent songwriter?

Just recently discovered Townes, and now I spin his albums all the time and the songs are stuck in my head.
What a gem....don´t know why I hadn´t checked him out ´till now.

I could totally see Ed doing a rendition of either No place to fall or Flying shoes.

I started listening to him within the last year as well. Very talented songwriter.

I need to get a couple more of his albums.
  • I'm guessing there is some sort of relationship to Ronnie Van Zandt?

Not to be mean, but I'm just blown away that people are just now discovering him, better late than never I guess. I guess being born and raised in Texas has some type of advantage once and I while, my friends got married about 6 or 7 years ago, another friend played a Townes song for them at the reception, it was AWESOME.

RIP Townse, you are missed greatly, especially here in Austin as well as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Freddy Fender and Doug Saham, you guys are true legends.......we love and miss you guys dearly.....

    I'm a huge fan.

"Be Here To Love Me" is a great doc on Townes life and career.

His version of "Dead Flowers" is amazing/

Not only does Townes cover surpass the original... but It makes it seem downright mediocre in comparrison.

Check him out now if you already haven't
