    1.) Sex Pistols
    2.) NOFX
    3.) Rancid
    4.) Against Me!
    5.) Flogging Molly

Being from where I am I used to love the Dropkick Murphy's, but after Tessie came out they went down the drain in my book.
And before his first step... He's off again...

why? I didn't even put them in my list. there are tons of better punk bands. The Ramones were fun but so deeply overrated. Any list without Husker Du, Fugazi or Minor Threat however... :)

damn right. three of the greatest bands of all time in my opinion. was spinning Red Medicine by Fugazi just last night, and New Day Rising by Husker Du today. I just love Bob Mould's voice so much.

  • 1. Dead Kennedys

I'm surprised that few people chose them... they're chaotic, have some great guitar playing, and some clever lyrics.

    2. The Minutemen

I love funky guitar playing, and the rhythm section is killer.

    3. Husker Du

Very chaotic but still melodic and intelligent.

    4. Agent Orange

I love how dark and surfy some of their music is. Very well played, not just relying on the 3 chord stuff.

    5. At the Drive-In

Again, another chaotic sounding band, tons of energy.

I understand that it is debatable whether the bands I chose are "punk" or not. Whatever, they're close enough.
I believe the children are our future... unless we stop them now...

Everyones list is so similar. Same with mine.

    Dead Kennedys
    Bad Brains
    Circle Jerks
    X
    the stooges

I would also definately include Meat Puppets, Husker Du and Minutemen if there was room

Has anyone seen American Hardcore. Hasn't played around me? Seems like a really cool documentary.
