Robert Randolph and Drive-by Truckers are also opening for DMB, no?

The DBT have opened for Dave Matthews in the past, but Robert Randolph is the opener for Daves next tour. I don't think the DBT are opening any dates for that one.
I love this tour though, Black Crowes, RRFB, and the DBT.
Robert Randolph is an amazing pedal steel guitar player, and he puts on a great live show. Pick up 'Live at the Wetlands' and you'll be hooked.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
Robert Randolph is a phenomenal pedal steel guitarist. He played on Clapton's new album, and is gaining fame in the rock world. He's fantastic.
The Pittsburgh show for this tour is two days after Pearl Jam's show in Pittsburgh - for any of you attending the PJ show, stick around for the Black Crowes!
im definitely going to hit this show in detroit. they are incredible live and i hear good things about both of the openers.
does anyone know if there are any plans for them to record again? it sounds like they've been rejuvenated and i was wondering if they may ever head back to the studio.
I dunno if they have said anything about new material since they reformed. They have busted out some new songs on tour, I think, so that would tell me that they prolly will eventually go back into the studio.
The Crowes are the most underrated band of the 90's. Every song by them in the studio is damn good, and live, they'll make you shit yourself.

Caught the tour last night. Drive By Truckers kicked ass on their opening set, got the crowds attention with 'Let There Be Rock' as a closer. Was great seeing these guys up on a big stage, hope they get a bunch of new fans out of this tour.
Robert Randolph was good, but not as good as the last two times I've seen him. Something must have been up with his voice, he didn't say anything or sing all night. Only one song had vocals from Danyel, rest were instrumental. Nice medley played from songs from the Word album, which I thought was very cool.
I'm not familiar with the Black Crowes, really I went just to see the DBT and RRFB. But I'll definately start looking more at them. Great show and exceptional jams.

Nice, nice.
I'm catching them for a full set in DC in about a month.
Can't wait for that!
The Black Crowes are awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I checked `em out 3 times since they have reformed................they are doing one more Chris & Rich show after this shed tour is over........... not sure on the city.....also, about new material, they haven`t even done an interview since they reformed............but they are releasing 2 unreleased albums from nineties on Aug. 29th, the Tall & Band albums. I think Bob Dylan has a new album out that day as well.
No one is ever gonna find ya, if you don`t get yourself lost...........
i went to the show at jones beach and i gotta say i was a little dissapointed. i guess because i saw them play the hammerstein last year (night 3 of the reunion shows) and it was much better- the setlist and venue.
Went to Saturday night show in Philadelphia and also came away a bit disappointed, Chris seemed to be in bad form, song selection wasnt the greatest, the show was nowhere near as good as the New Years Eve at MSG 7 months ago. The only excuse I would give the band is it was hot and humid night in Philly, it must have been 90F at least. I think the grueling tour schedule is taking its toll, though. When I first saw the schedule I thought this is a lot of shows in short period of time...

That's too bad, hmm. I went last wk and caught them in Detroit and that show kicked ass over the London show I saw a few months ago. Maybe it is the heat, they all wear jeans and long tee's too!?! And yes they are doing A LOT of shows, so that could be it too?
